Workshop Overview:

Zin Lim will lead you through the essence of expressive drawing, combining lectures, presentations, and live demos to unveil his unique artistic vision. You'll engage in hands-on practice, exploring both short and long poses to find and harness your inner voice and body rhythm. This course is a journey of discovery, aimed at artists of all levels who wish to deepen their understanding of charcoal and refine their drawing skills.

WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS WORKSHOP:

All Skill Levels: Whether you're laying the groundwork before diving into portrait painting or seeking to enrich your artistic journey, this workshop is for you.

Beginners: Learn charcoal fundamentals and head drawing techniques step-by-step, from crafting compelling visual marks to creating detailed figures without the knowledge of anatomical precision.

This course will also give the strong foundation for the following workshop: Alla Prima Portrait Painting in Oil with Zin Lim (April 19-21)

Advanced Artists: Dive beyond precision into the realm of expressive charcoal drawing. This is a call for advanced artists to push their boundaries, using fluid strokes to craft masterpieces that stand as unique expressions of their artistic voice. It's not just about technique—it's about creating art that resonates deeply and personally. Here, you'll transform not only your style but also the way your art communicates and connects.
